ali and manny: an aspen elopement
li and Manny had grand plans to get married a few years ago, and it finally happened in the best way. They got married outside of Aspen, Colorado near a little town called Marble (known, apparently, for it's vast quantities of marble mining). They rented out a big cabin and invited their closest friends and family, about 10 people, to celebrate with them and spend the weekend. It's no secret that I love small weddings, and their little ceremony at the Yule Creek Lodge was just perfect.
after the ceremony, we wandered down the road towards aspen to find some good scenery. Let's be real... it's Colorado... There's never any shortage of good scenery! We found a fantastic waterfall and a marble house.... I gotta love any bride and groom who will willingly place themselves under a waterfall in the rain.
It rained most of the day but then turned into one of the most beautiful sunsets I have EVER seen, hands down; the sky was just on fire, I still can't believe it. And then the storm got the better of the power generator and the power went out... but that didn't stop this little family from having one of the most fun dance parties I've ever witnessed.
i love blogging because looking at these images again reminds me of how truly blessed i am to do what i do, and i wouldn't have it any other way.
